Lookout Central Region – Jeff Averitt joins Mirimichi Green

Castle Hayne, NC, October 21, 2021 – Mirimichi Green – the award-winning, premier developer of next-generation biotechnology for soil amendments, bio-stimulants, liquid fertilizers, and pesticides – has named Jeff Averitt as the Regional Sales Manager for the U.S.’s central region.

He brings more than 20 years of experience in central region sales to Mirimichi Green, the company leading the charge in sustainability and effectiveness in the landscape industry.

A native of Lexington, Kentucky, Jeff grew up working on a vegetable farm with his brother and sister. His parents tasked him with selling vegetables from a stand at a young age, and Jeff learned early to create extra value for his customers by packaging vegetables together to increase sales. Then, when he was 12, Jeff’s mother started a landscaping business for him and his brother to run. Together, they built it up to serve more than 150 yards before selling it off to pay for his first year of college at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky.

While playing on the university soccer team, Jeff met a person who would become a long-term friend, Mirimichi salesman Tom Boyd. After college, Jeff found his calling in sales, working for various clients and products in the central region ranging from medical supplies to HVAC and more.

During COVID, Jeff took some time to reflect on what he wanted to do in life. He wanted a way to use his love of sales to sell something that made a difference. So Jeff searched for a product to sell he was genuinely proud of and for a company he respected and trusted. After considering solar, sustainable technologies, and other industries, Jeff found Mirimichi Green, thanks to his old college buddy Tom.

Jeff’s excited to get to know everyone out in the field, find ways to help landscape professionals improve their profits, and learn as much agronomy as he can. He hopes that when he walks into a branch location, you won’t just see a salesperson walking in, but someone with equal knowledge and passion about soil health.

Jeff lives on a small farm in Lexington with his wife and dog. When he’s not exploring the land with his dog, Jeff enjoys going to festivals and concerts in the region and spends any time he can with his son and daughter.
