“We are a beach community with extremely sandy soils and have always had issues keeping enough nutrients to help the plants and vegetation stay lush. These are very harsh environments for growing without extensive irrigation. We tried Mirimichi Green products in areas where no irrigation exists and grasses must be moved on a regular basis. It was always questionable if those areas would survive the summer months. After using the carbon-based products along the roadways, the results were incredible and instantly noticeable. The treated areas looked good, if not better than some of the areas that are regularly maintained and had irrigation. In addition, we treated old oak trees that were on the verge of dying. We soon saw massive new growth (even on limbs we would normally prune) and bright green leaves. We are now using several products in new plantings around the island.”

As a business owner, I’m always looking into ways I can better serve my customers. My Mirimichi Green rep and I went over the various products and I was excited to try the CarbonizPN Soil Enhancer product. The 4 yards compost per 1,000 sqft is the way of the dinosaur. We are currently using 8 40lb. bags of CarbonizPN for every 1,000 sqft. I can pick it up in a car and deliver it vs an F-250 and a 14′ trailer. We can spread it in about 5-10 min and away we go. Not only am I saving time (drive time, load time, spread time, and multiple trips time) we are saving money because time is money. What’s most important is the not the time saved but the added value of the product for my customers. The Mirimichi Green product does wonders for the soil, something that compost alone can’t. The microbiology is great and the grass we have been installing is amazing. We have also started using it in all of our plantings. We have added the Nutri-Kelp and the Tree & Shrub liquid fertilizers to plantings as well.

“When we’re building a course or designing a course, our priority is the safety of the horse. The footing is the most important part. We do everything we can to make the footing perfect. For the footing, we use Mirimichi Green [products], aeration, and a little fertilizer if we have to. We do our very best to make the footing firm and soft at the same time. We want it solid, but want it to have a little give [too]. We did the entire course with Mirimichi Green [products] about 4-5 years ago and you could tell the difference. And then we brought in Mirimichi Green’s team to treat the whole course. And you could still tell in May, after the Kentucky Three Day Event, where it had been treated. It was greener than the rest [of the course]. We don’t want hard footing and we don’t want really soft muddy footing. Even when it’s really wet here, the footing has held up really well. I try to protect the course as much as possible from the rain by aerating and using Mirimichi Green [products] because it allows the roots to go deeper and prevent compaction.”

“The only place that’s even close to that is Aachen [Germany],” said Phillips. “[In Tryon], you really have the best footing anywhere in the world. I’ve never before done a course where I’ve been 100 days out from an event and not had a completed track, but having said that, I’ve never before seen tracks go in so quickly and produce such unbelievably good footing.”

The products we use have increased plant health of turfgrass. We are very impressed with the response we have got from Mirimichi products throughout the growing season.

All Mirimichi Green products have been implemented in our program since May 2014 here at Broken Sound Club. The CarbonizPN-DJ we used for DryJect in May 2017 has shown instant results! The greens are holding their moisture and nutrients much longer. I back their product and give them all of my support!
