Healthy plants start with healthy soil. CarbonizPN Soil Enhancer is a soil amendment that helps plants thrive by improving the efficiency of the soil. CarbonizPN Soil Enhancer is composed of CarboMatrix™ Technology. The activated carbon (biochar) inoculated with premium organics remain in the soil to reduce compaction, drive root growth, increase fertility and water absorption, and decrease nutrient leaching.

Soils are often depleted of a well-balanced nutrient makeup. The USDA Certified Biobased Carbon (biochar) in CarbonizPN Soil Enhancer works to lockup heavy metals and unleash the macronutrients and micronutrients trapped in the soil and make them available to the root system. By adding CarbonizPN Soil Enhancer into the soil profile, beneficial microorganisms can create a home in the carbon structure and enhance the soil biology complex.

CarbonizPN Soil Enhancer is excellent for: establishing turf, new seed, topdressing, sod installations, hydroseeding, potted plants and plant beds, tree and shrubs, nurseries, gardens, and more.

Due to the product’s consistency, walk-behind spreaders do not perform well and often clog so they are not recommended.

Why is CarbonizPN named CarbonizPN?

CarbonizPN means "Carbon Plus Nutrients" and is a nod to this product's core technology - CarboMatrix. A “carbon matrix” is formed when activated carbon is inoculated with our premium organics, providing a fantastic environment for microbes in the soil and an optimal nutrient delivery system for plants.

Can this product burn my lawn?

You're unlikely to overdo it with any of the Mirimichi Green soil amendments. They are designed not to burn.

For those that really want to know the maximum they should use:

For an established lawn, you should limit turf topdressing applications to about a quarter-inch so you don't smother the grass crowns (the growing points).
For seeding on bare ground or in preparation for laying down sod, spreading 1/2" or even more should be no problem.

How often should I apply CarbonizPN®?

We recommend applying monthly during the turf growing season. Other application times include: after aeration. before laying sod, and during tree and planting installations.

How do I spread CarbonizPN®?

The best way to spread CarbonizPN is with a belt-driven topdresser like the EcoLawn Applicator, Earth & Turf spreader, or a drop spreader. If this equipment is unavailable to you, use a high-volume output spreader, mulch spreader, or ice melt spreader. You can also use an agitator in your walk-behind spreader for better results.
